Marrakesh Chicken & Vegetables

Used this recipe & made a few additions

INGREDIENTS: (used 7qt slow cooker)
2 sweet potatoes, peeled & chopped into small pieces
2-3 raw chicken breasts, cut into pieces
14oz smoked sausage, sliced
1 onion, chopped
2 bell peppers, chopped
8oz baby carrots
15oz can garbanzo beans AKA chick peas
broccoli slaw (I used half a bag, maybe 8oz?)
14.5oz can diced tomatoes
minced garlic, to taste
garlic & herb seasoning
cumin powder
turmeric
parsley
curry powder
cinnamon
saffron
1/2c cream or milk (optional)

DIRECTIONS:
Place sweet potatoes in bottom of slow cooker. Sprinkle cinnamon on top of them.
Add in the chicken, & sprinkle on garlic&herb seasoning.
Layer in the sausage, then garlic, then onion, beans, peppers, carrots, slaw, top with tomatoes.
Sprinkle on the rest of the seasonings.
Cook for 4-5 hrs on high, or until the sweet potatoes are soft. Mix in some cream and any additional seasonings if needed.
Serve with rice or potatoes if desired.

note* I have no idea what makes this meal Moroccan. I guess because it has a bunch of spices in it people can call it Moroccan.
