Used this recipe. Served on Croissants / Kings Hawaiian sandwich buns
INGREDIENTS: (used a 3qt slow cooker)
3 chicken breasts, sliced in half
3 T brown sugar
8oz crushed pineapple
1/4 c low-sodium soy sauce (I prob used a little more than 1/4c)
minced garlic, to taste
1/2 t ginger
~1/3c teriyaki sauce (I didn't measure, just poured some in)
some shredded fresh ginger (I used a potato peeler)
sliced colby jack cheese
croissants / buns
(optional) Sriracha sauce and/or ranch
DIRECTIONS:
Place raw chicken breasts in bottom of slow cooker.
Add in everything else except for the teriyaki sauce.
Cook on low for 4-6hrs, or high for 2-3 hrs.
Remove the chicken breasts to a bowl, shred with forks and then add back into the slow cooker.
Mix in teriyaki sauce. Add more if needed.
Serve with sliced cheese on buns.
