Croque Madame Breakfast Caserole

INGREDIENTS
8"x8" or 9"x9" baking dish
1 stick (6 tbsp) butter
1/4 c flour
2 c milk (and/or some heavy cream)
1/2 can cream of cheddar soup
1/2 pkg cream cheese
2 tbsp honey mustard (or dijon)
3/4 t salt
1/2 t white pepper
8 slices of bread
10 slices of ham (more or less depending on thickness)
8 slices swiss cheese (or gruyere)
1-2 c shredded cheese (I used cheddar and "italian" blend that I had left over)
4 eggs

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 400°
Grease baking dish.
Melt butter in large skillet over low heat until bubbling. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 min.
Whisk in milk/cream/cheddar soup/cream cheese and cook until thick and bubbling, about 3-5 min more.
Whisk in mustard/salt/pepper.
Pour thin layer of the sauce into the baking dish, and cover with 4 slices of bread.
Layer half of the ham slices and top with swiss cheese/shredded cheese. Add more sauce, then repeat the bread/ham/cheese layers again, ending with sauce on top.
Bake for 30 min.
Like 5 min before the casserole is done, cook 4 eggs over easy in skillet. Top the casserole with the eggs and some shredded cheese, and put back into over for a few min until cheese is melted.
